"2D to 3D Conversion"

I do not approve of 2D to 3D conversion circuits. They do not produce "genuine" stereoscopic results. Instead, they selectively "warp" a 2D image in various ways.

For "talk shows" and news, the pictures may "bulge" at the center. For landscapes and sports, they may tilt away from the viewer at the top, and lean forward at the bottom. While this "simulates" depth information, the effect is not the same as true stereo content. To me, it is like watching a "colorized" movie which was originally shot in black and white. It just isn't quite right.

While this product contains the additional circuitry for conversion, (at no additional cost), I recommend it ONLY for use with genuine stereoscopic video content, such as that found on my 3D Video content page.
